Police hit a man who put his life at risk in order to enjoy cheap stimulation in today's floods.When most of us were huddled indoors trying to avoid the heavy rain of today, one boldly came to the torrents of Ballarat.The daring man had nothing but an inflatable mattress, and he tested his sea legs along what looked like the yaroway River.
The man, wearing a board, shoes and a jumpsuit, came to the water in search of excitement.Filmed by his companions, when he cheers, he can be seen standing up unsteadily on suspicious ships.Although the activity itself is not illegal, the police strongly oppose it.
Neil Robinson, Acting Inspector of the Ballarat police, gave a strong warning of such behavior."You don't know what's under water and how fast things are changing," he said ."."We do not encourage anyone to participate in these activities.
The national emergency service also strongly recommends not to go anywhere near the flood."Never enter or cross the flood."This includes walking, driving, riding and playing in the flood," it wrote ."."Entering the flood is the main cause of death during the flood.
