Regent Square Park and playground project gets green light for funding - see-saw

The revival of Regent Square Park was fundedxa0The project is adjacent to the George Town Memorial Hall and can be developed.The mayor of Georgetown, Bridget Archer, says this is something the community has been excited about."We have received letters of support from many community groups, including all schools, and have responded well to the playground survey," MP.

Overallxa0The project is expected to cost less than $700,000.Funding for developmentxa0Budget from the Council.The council decided that in order to obtain more funding,xa0Projects that are not ready for progress are put on hold and the budget is transferred to the playground.
"In addition, with the contribution of public open space, the reserved land will be sold to this project over time," Cr Archer said ."."This funding will enable this very exciting project to take place as soon as possible, which has been going on for some time under extensive community consultations.At the Council meeting on November 21, it was decided that the playground revival would be divided into two phases, in 2018 and 2019, respectively.
The first stage will add a trampoline andxa0See-saw.The second phase will add more playground items, especially the steel frame rope structure.Trees will also be addedxa0Cross the park, especially behind the memorial.
