air mattress tent BEAR SCARE, OR, IS MY HAIR STANDING UP FOR NO REASON?

Adventure is not always comfortable; However, this is still an adventure. It's not always safe either. No matter what it is, it beats the couch, the remote and the boring, lazy TV on any day of the week. Our first canoe trip in the summer proved the fun of green trees, blushing flowers, small wildlife, waterbirds and paddling under islands, past geese, dragon flies and blue skies.
None of the mosquitoes fell on us!Yeah, right! As we dip the canoe into the autumn waters of the Shadow Hills Lake, the first signs of autumn flashed before us, with golden leaves sprinkled on the forest landscape. For whatever reason, most ships in the summer stopped noise and speeding during our weekend of September. After unloading at the dock, we threw our gear into the canoe.
We threw sleeping bags, tents, mattresses, food, water and more camping gear.Sandy jumped into the front when I slipped to the back seat.Once again, as we dug our paddles into the calm waters of that mountain lake, the calm, calm waters winds through.
Around, the tree pole pine cottage sweeps up along the side of the mountain, creating a green theme.trees.It is frustrating that a small insect only uses 1/million of trees to get food and cover, but kills 100% of the trees. This makes me wonder why nature has developed such a deadly beetle killing machine.
Nevertheless, as John Moore said, "this grand show is timeless. There is always a sunrise somewhere;Lu will never do it all at once; The shower is always down and the steam is always up.Eternal Sunrise, eternal sunset, eternal dawn and gloating--On the oceans, continents, and islands, everyone is turning as the Earth turns.
In our time Sandy and I pressed the paddle of the eternal water craft, the canoe, which carried the Hunter, the Indians, the Hawaiian, the South American and the real, most civilizations on Earth use canoes to travel on waterways. We walked towards our favorite place and watched Canadian geese and spectacular pelicans on the west side of the lake.We pressed the canoe over the three islands in front of us.
As usual, the majestic osprey flew by us or watched us pass by the high dead trees. As we swept past, wild ducks and diving ducks paddled around the island. As we approached the coastline, some squirrels were babbling at us on their own private island.
.Everything is slow, quiet and timeless! The speed of the canoe cannot be well described, however, it gives a feeling of spiritual tranquility.Mental calm!Cell Regeneration!Jonathan Seagull said it provides "perfect speed. What is this speed? You will not fly at the speed of a jet, nor will you be as slow as a donkey, "perfect speed ---is being there.
On a sunny day, on a canoe 9,000 feet metres from the Rocky Mountains "there! When you paddle by the lake, what do you do on a canoe?Of course, you will be immersed in the sky, the Sun, the birds and the scenery. You will return to your natural, spiritual speed.Don't say anything you say.A big Pelican walked through the water before the flight to show us an air show.
Several geese in Canada flew in before sliding toward land.Several turtles bask in the sun on dead wood that stretches out of the water. At dusk, we draw a private lagoon. We went through the giant cat tail, through a narrow canal, to our own quiet and magical pond in the wilderness.
We are surrounded by tall pine trees.
We camped, set up chairs, set up tables, and set up the fire.Sandi took out the tent, sleeping bag and air mattress from the bag.We tied the miners and warm sweaters. We were standing on an open space, which was 30 yards long and 10 yards away from the water.
We set up tents by the water.
We pulled the canoe to the land near the tent.Sandi launched a Mexican vegetarian meal at the Mountain House, which tastes like a five-star restaurant in New York.We cooked our meal with onion-flavored soft bagels.
I said, "Oh my God, is this good ?".
"I love the food here!“Look!” I pointed.
"The horn flies at the height of the herringbone ...... There is only a black outline under the stars."Beautiful honey," said Sandy. Then gone!Quiet! We had a glass of wine in the new wilderness wine glass and had a steaming dinner.
Winston Abbott said, "dusk is a time to share, a moment to recall, to share the scent of cooling the Earth, to share the shadow that gathers dusk. Here, our two worlds meet and pass by, and as the light fades, the voice of human madness becomes weaker and weaker, and the calm rhythm of the other world expands with the deepening of darkness. When something of matter loses its lines and forms in the softness of darkness, it falls upon all living things.
Air cooling at night.
While tasting the freshly baked hot chocolate, we look up at the night sky and see the Big Dipper, the North Star, the Little Big Dipper, Orion and many other magical constellations.Nothing is more like a ceiling above the head than sitting up at night to see the universe! It allows you to see it forever.Sandi turned over Gary's big bed many years ago.
It slept like a heavenly bed!"Good Night, dear," she said .""Get a good night's sleep," I said.As usual, I fell asleep like a stone. At about 2: 00 in the morning, I heard Sandy pull open the tent to rest, which is the usual way she works. After a while I heard her pull the tent open and crawl back into her sleeping bag.
I fell asleep in heaven.
“Harumph!Harumph!A loud sound from a large animal sounded not far from the tent. When I woke up, adrenaline passed through my body as fast as the car printed 500th.Like Hurricane Katrina, fear swept my mind.
It's big no matter what it is!Since I was in my 70 s facing the grizzlies in Alaska, I have no such fear."Dear," said Sandy in a low voice."Oh my God, it sounds like a bear," I said ."."Where is the bear spray?"The third brother is going to be in her arms with a very strong heartbeat.
.In my own fear, I am not far from her.
"It's in the plastic box in the foyer," I whispered ."."I forgot to put it in the attic in the tent ...... Not smart."I see," she said ."“Harumph!Harumph!"The sound is not 20 feet away, getting closer and closer.
I opened the zipper of the tent.
Grab my mine!Put it on my head!Grab the plastic box!Caught the bear spray!Put my feet in my boots!I don't want to face a damn 350-pound black bear in my socks!"What are you going to do?” Sandi asked."I'm going to face this jerk and spray him with a bunch of this stuff," I said ."."If we die, we might as well fight him.It doesn't make sense to let him hurt us in the tent.
I pulled the zipper off the nylon door, turned on my light, stood up, pointed to the bear spray and immediately looked in the direction of 360 degrees.Less than 30 yards away, in the bushes, along the lake, two big eyes reflected my miner's lamp.He bumped into the bush and made a loud noise from the branches of the small tree.
“Holy shit!I said to Sandy.
“It’s big!“What is it?” she said.
"I can't say it," I said.
"It could move 100 feet kilometers east from here.Soon, I can't see its eyes when it disappears at night. When I got back to the tent, I said, "I think it's gone .
".
"My heart is dancing straight," Sandy said with fear in her voice."The first time I heard it was when I was resting.I ran back into the tent.I don't want to wake you up because I don't know what to do.
I said, "as soon as I heard the first voice, I was scared that I couldn't sleep.Maybe it's just a black bear on a night tour.I think we're fine now because he's leaving us east.
Let's hit the sack.
"I'm too scared to sleep," Sandi said .
".
"Well," I said, "sleep till you fall asleep.I dozed off.Suddenly, at 3: 00 in the morning, the same "Harumph, Harumph" sound startled me.This time, the break of the branches made me more afraid.
The damn thing is getting closer and closer, and as it goes through the bushes and trees, it seems like a lot of clicking sounds from the tin cans."It's back, dear," Sandy said, grabbing my arm."What are you going to do?"You put on your shoes and are ready to run hard," I said .
".
"I will bring the bear spray and fight him back as much as I can.At least you will be safe if he finds me.Toward the Light of the lake house.I zip my tent and pee my pants. I'm so scared.I stood up and looked in the direction of the voice. My miner lights up the bushes and trees, and in less than 60 feet from me, two big eyes kept coming towards me.
"God, it's coming soon," I said .
".
"Get ready to run if the shoes are attacked.I looked at it!It looks at me!Two big eyes reflect my mine lamp!I stood in the wilderness with my little bear spray and wondered if I would have spent the night. All my years in the wilderness, shit, a bear was about to eat my late night snack.
Damn!Where is my Buck recliner and remote control?Where is my safe bedroom in the suburbs? Why don't we book a motel?Inside it, as it breaks more branches and plows over the bush, "Harumph, Harumph, Harumph" appears steadily. When it is close, it is less than 40 feet away when it breaks through the open space. It's getting bigger and more scary until my light not only lights up its eyes but also lights up its whole body, its 1,500 pounds body!Because God is what I look forward.
The monster of the terrible bear, until my mind turned to the sight before me, my eyes believed what it was --A huge bull moose with a shelf 5 feet wide on his head."Oh my God," I shouted to Sandy."This is a vegetarian ...... We are saved!“What? She said loudly."What is this ...... Vegan? What are you talking about?"This is a bull moose," I said .""He is a vegetarian. He won't eat us.The big man walked by the tent 15 feet metres away.
Until he disappeared into the dark.
"Oh, my God," I said.
"What a spectacular beast! It's not a bear. it's so happy.Let's go to bed."Let me know again, dear, why do we like camping," Sandi said ."..We fell asleep again, or at least, I fell asleep when Sandi held my sleeping bag tight and squeezed closer than ever before.
The next morning, the duck flew overhead, and the geese honked on the water, and the fog rose from the lagoon where we camped.I opened the fly and saw the steam spinning on the water.A golden aspen tree opened across the street.
"Ah, it's good to live," I said.
"Let's have breakfast.
We cooked oatmeal, prepared hot chocolate, and cut a few slices of bananas for seasoning.Watch the delicious breakfast of steam rising from the lake!Squirrels, Osprey, crows, Robin, goose and duck make a harsh sound for the amazing breakfast full of wilderness. The sun rose in the sky that day.We paddle in the beautiful waters of Shadow Mountain Lake and enjoy it.
Later, we drove the head of the canoe to the east coast.Sandy wanted to hike on the east side of the lake, so we walked four miles under the magic of the wilderness.Later, with the passage of time, we crossed to the south.
out.
Not a boat on the lake!Quiet!Serene!Lovely! What a wonderful gift for us to sail in the calm waters of cooperation with birds, fish and vegetarian wildlife! In our memory-Starlight, the sound of the night, the birds, the delicious food, a vegetarian moose on his night cruise, and the very special joy we shared when the fall came, because we draw our ancient craft on the magic of the mountains and lakes.“The summer—Nothing sweeter than ever. The sunny woods are exciting;Gray animals in the river; The Big Horn fell asleep on the mountain. It is the vast land, the Forest leased in silence; This surprised me;.
Never know the strong life of the seat belt; The wilderness that the reindeer call;Fresh, free, far away-Oh God!How do I stick to it.Thank you for participating in our great adventure this summer
