A Ninth Grader Who Went From Math Meltdown To Math Touchdown  -  meltdown

A few years ago (I wouldn't say how much), when I was a student at the Community and Technical College, as part of our state postAllow secondary enrollment options (PSEO) programs to go to college, and at the same time, I have the opportunity to coach a different group of students in a troubled youth program.I also got some catch-up in doing so.However, one of the students I worked with turned my motivation to get credit into more.Introduced to the boy the authenticity of the math (to keep it secret, we will call him "Andy" instead of his real name) I got along well with a teacher and liked him very much at the time.
I am a senior 3 student.
Andy, who is in ninth grade, faces all the same struggles to enter high school and adolescent social experiments.He also has issues of anger and frustration, and some of the problems at home, so he sometimes attacks hard.My teacher thinks I can get in good touch with Andy.
R rAlso read-r rat head, I thought she was crazy.Andy's anxiety about mathematics, in addition to social stigma, may also stem from other problems.I don't think Andy wants to be humiliated because he doesn't know the answer, so he doesn't want to try at all.
He will take his attention completely away from the problem, but I can see that he is isolated and really needs someone to trust.\ RSupport is key \ as I found out later, Randy really doesn't have a strong support system.Most other students are too scared, unconcerned or passive to coach or help Andy in some way.
His classmates thought that Andy's normal behavior pattern was easily denied by him.I tried a more social approach instead of digging deep and very powerful, which could make Andy more introverted.I know a little about Andy.I asked him about school, life, family, his hobbies, what some of his interests are.
When I asked Andy to focus more on talking about things he felt comfortable with and was interested in, he was actually engaged.This is the right time to enter quickly.Of course, I will face more resistance and other obstacles when Andy tries to get back to the comfort zone where he is behaving badly, but he is a Grade 9 student, learn how to eventually become a person of your own.\ R \ rI found out that Andy likes cars and racing cars, and anything with motors, including dirt cars, boats, ATVs, motorcycles, and of course monster trucks.
Since Andy is very interested in powersports, I put my personal questions in my math homework and we all know we won't leave, any of us!Good results.\ RSense of confidence \ rI will see Andy growing more confident that year.Every achievement of Andy has a clear connection with his real life, and he feels that he can actually become a person, and achieve something in life, even in school and social life.
Andy's social life has also improved because he has learned valuable life and social skills in the ninth grade tutoring class.His manners changed and he began to make friends.There was more.Andy himself feels more powerful and confident than ever before, and he starts to engage with them on issues without slightly changing his personality!What really impressed me, however, was that when I was in college, I went back to visit my teacher.
She is very excited.
She told me that Andy became a mentor in the same project.Now I have a great sense of accomplishment, and when one goes to a larger university, I go from adolescence to adulthood.However, Randy's case is not isolated.There are millions of children who need to be contacted separately.
