On August 23, the Emergency Management Department allocated 3,000 relief tents, 5,000 folding beds, and 60,000 beds from the central disaster relief materials reserves in Hefei, Zhengzhou, and Wuhan to the emergency organizations in Shandong and Anhui provinces hardest hit by rainstorms and floods. (pieces) of clothing and quilts, 20 sets of field lighting and other central disaster relief materials are used to support local governments in the emergency transfer and resettlement of the disaster-stricken people and life assistance during the transition period, so as to ensure the basic life of the disaster-stricken people.

Previously, the Disaster Reduction Committee and the Emergency Management Department have launched emergency response for severe rainstorms and floods in Shandong and Anhui provinces. At present, the disaster relief and emergency working group of the Ministry of Emergency Management is inspecting the disaster situation on the spot in the hardest-hit areas, visiting and condoling to the affected people, guiding and assisting local governments to do their best in rescue and disaster relief, and life security for the affected people.
